Small, senior, answerable.
A senior-led VFX studio in Melbourne, Australia, working worldwide. The hands that scope your shots are the hands that finish them.
Andrew Clarke
Founder · Senior VFX SupervisorA senior supervisor who carries shots from the first planning conversation through to the final pixel. The bid, the on-set call and the delivered frame are all answerable to the same person.
Each project draws on a small group of regular collaborators chosen for the work in front of us — not a roster of strangers assembled to fill a chair.
The planning conversation and the delivery are the same hands. Nothing is handed down a line; nothing gets lost in translation between who promised it and who made it.
Small, on purpose.
A small, senior team is the point — not a stage we hope to grow out of. Fewer people means fewer handoffs, and every handoff is a place where intent leaks out and rework creeps in. The person who understood your sequence at the bid is the person watching it on delivery day.
That continuity is what keeps a show calm under pressure. When the schedule tightens, our standards don't move — because there's no junior layer to fall back on and no committee to hide behind. The work is owned, end to end, by people whose names are on it.
It also keeps us honest about scope, timeline and cost. We'd rather tell you early that a shot is harder than it looks than discover it together in the grade suite. No overselling, no surprises — just a clear read on what the work actually takes.
Much of our work is faith-based and family drama — productions where the story carries the weight and the effects are meant to disappear into it. We understand what those productions protect: the message, the schedule, and every dollar of a budget that was raised on trust. If that's your world, it's ours too.
From the people we answer to.
Testament was a ridiculously ambitious project with many key scenes that would not have been possible without the dedication and superb work of the team at VFXMagic. From helping to build the analogue world of Testament, to shooting additional elements for a fire sequence, they went above and beyond to bring this first season to life.Paul Syrstad · Director, Testament
The work that VFXMagic did for our Walk on Water sequence was inspiring. Their dedication to the project and the willingness to go the extra mile shows in the results on screen.Chris Juen · Executive Producer, The Chosen
